Update 6/1/2020
Dear Resident,
As we approach June, we wanted to update you on our plans for the next 30 days.
- First, we need to get your AC filters changed. We will be doing this on Monday, June 01, 2020 starting at 9:00am. We understand that some of you are not comfortable with us being in your unit. For those of you who want to opt out of having us in your unit, you may remove your AC filter and place it on your front porch and we will place the new filter on your porch for you to replace. Please remember that your filter has not been changed since March. If we do not get your filter changed, your AC will begin to "freeze up" and will not work properly for you. If you have not placed your filter on your porch, maintenance staff will enter your unit and replace your filter per the usual. All of our maintenance staff will be wearing masks and gloves. If you have sick in the 72 hours preceding June 01, 2020 please call the office and let us know.
- Pest Control will not resume in June. If you have pest control issues, you will need to call me at the office and I will schedule that for you during the month of June. You may also email me if you need pest control in the month of June.
- The office will remain closed to the public. We are still in the office and will still be taking your calls. Please know that for the foreseeable future, we will only open the lobby by appointment only for applicants. If you need to sign papers, please call the office for further guidance beginning July 01, 2020, otherwise we will send you a notice when we are able to open the office to you.
We are looking at options to keep each of us safe going forward. Please be patient as we navigate this challenging time. We know it isn't ideal for you, and we apologize.
We also really want you to know, we miss you. We hope that it would be much longer before we can share a laugh (or a hug) in person. Until then, please do not hesitate to call us if you need to. You can also like Van Buren Housing Authority in Facebook, as we often post updates there.
We look forward to seeing you very soon,
Dayna Cochran
