Dance Class (Kayla C Dance Company)

Her early years started off training in several styles of dance as a young competitive dancer in Oklahoma City. There she auditioned and became a dancer with the Dance Dimensions and became an American Spirit National Champion.

She was then awarded a dance scholarship to Eastern Oklahoma State College where she continued to dance for several years and was awarded the 'Outstanding Athlete' award in pom and dance. While there she auditioned and was accepted to dance at the National Dance Association in Florida.

Later Ms. Kayla trained in jazz theater and ballet at CASC, where she danced as well as starting teaching in Company classes. During this time, she was also expanding her knowledge and experience in dance education by teaching students ages 3-Adult, as well as taking dance teacher specific education classes through Showstopper Dance.

In 2014, Ms. Kayla started The Kayla C Dance Company. After running a successful studio for a few years, she was contacted and offered a job with Heavener Public Schools working in their Drama and Arts department, where she worked in conjunction with running her studio.

Ms. Kayla has now moved to Arkansas to start a new adventure.
