Letter From the Director:
Dear Residents,
Fall is Almost Here!
Can you feel it? That crisp hint in the air, the scent of pumpkin spice creeping back into our lives, and yes-some of you already have your Fall and Halloween decorations on full display! It's such a joy to see our community embracing the magic of Spooky Season!
Speaking of magic, Larissa has been hard at work planning our Annual Fall Festival, and let me tell you-it's shaping up to be bigger, better, and more festive than ever! I absolutely treasure these moments we share together at the Community Center, where laughter, friendship, and memories are always in abundance.
As we prepare for this busy season, we kindly ask that everyone check in with Larissa if you haven't already and sign up to volunteer. Fall is a bustling time for us with multiple events and learning opportunities for families, and your help truly makes all the difference. Don't forget-you can complete your monthly Community Service hours right here on-site while supporting these amazing events.
On another heartfelt note, we've made incredible progress in rebuilding after the tornado, and many of you have surely noticed the steady hum of construction throughout our neighborhoods. Our mission is clear: to have all displaced families back home by Christmas. It's a tall order, but with the dedication of our crews and the spirit of this community, we believe it's absolutely possible. Just imagine it-every family home, safe and warm, by Christmas Eve. What a gift that would be.
Thank you all for your continued support, kindness, and commitment to each other. Here's to a beautiful Fall season ahead!
With gratitude,
Dayna Cochran
Executive Director

Love Your Lease: Guest and Visitor Policy
G. Terms and Conditions
- Use and Occupancy of the Dwelling Unit: (…) The PHA recognizes the Tenant's right to give reasonable accommodation to his/her guests and visitors. The Tenant must notify the PHA management when a guest(s)/visitor(s) will be staying for more than fourteen (14) days. Exceptions for longer stays may be granted to the family for valid reasons which may include but not limited to: Tenant's son/daughter home on military leave; Tenant's son/daughter on college break during the holidays; care of a relative staying with the Tenant to recuperate from a medical procedure; children who are visiting in accordance with visitation privileges subject to a joint custody arrangement. Exceptions may be granted, upon Tenant's written request to the PHA for an extension of this provision. The PHA will consider granting the exception only if the family can identify and provide documentation of the guest's or visitor's primary residence. If the PHA discovers that the guest or visitor represents the Tenants address as his/her (guest/visitor) residence address for the purpose of receiving mail, benefits, or other purposes will be considered an unauthorized occupant of the unit and no future visitation will be approved for this guest/visitor. Guests/visitors who remain with the Tenant beyond the visitation extension granted by the PHA will be considered to be occupants and their presence constitutes a violation of the Lease by the Tenant.
Residents are welcome to have guests and visitors in their homes. If a guest will be staying more than 14 days, please let management know.
In special situations-like children home on college break, military leave, or when a family member is recovering from surgery-residents may request permission for a longer stay. This request must be made in writing and may require proof of the guest's main residence.
Important to remember:
- Guests cannot use your address as their permanent home or for receiving
mail/benefits. - Guests who stay past their approved time may be considered unauthorized occupants, which is a lease violation.
